Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a value resort located near the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort, directly across the lake from Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Resort Overview
Disney’s Art of Animation resort is a great value resort offering accommodations for larger families. The resort opened in 2012 and features both standard rooms and family suites with one of four Disney-Pixar themes: Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Cars, or The Little Mermaid. This is also one of the dog-friendly options at the Walt Disney World Resort, for an additional fee of $50 per night.
The resort celebrates the magic of Disney animation and brings characters to life with larger-than-life statues throughout the resort, with many backdrops that are perfect for vacation photos. With the addition of the Disney Skyliner, this resort offers convenient access to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, there are two different room types – family suites and standard rooms. There are 1,120 family suites that sleep up to 6 adults and offer three different themes – Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars. The Finding Nemo suites are closest to the resort’s main building and amenities, including the Disney Skyliner stop. There are also 864 standard rooms, with The Little Mermaid theme. There are approximately 200 rooms that are handicap accessible.

The Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool at the Walt Disney World Resort. Just keep swimming at this zero-entry pool inspired by the beloved Disney-Pixar movie, Finding Nemo.
The Cozy Cone Pool is inspired by the Disney-Pixar hit Cars. Enjoy cabanas in the shape of cozy cones or hang out with the life-sized models of all of your favorite Cars friends! Then, take a dip in this relaxing and kid-friendly 74,740-gallon pool.
The Flippin’ Fins Pool is inspired by The Little Mermaid, complete with Sebastian and his “Under the Sea” orchestra! This 103,642-gallon pool is the perfect spot to let all of your cares swim away as you take a dip or relax poolside.

Pixel Play Arcade
Enjoy video games, pinball, air hockey, and more at this arcade located near the Mara Cafe. The arcade is open daily. Purchase your game card using cash or credit card and then refill it as you please to use at any of the other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.
Movies Under the Stars
After a day at the parks, enjoy complimentary movie screenings under the stars. The screenings take place on select nights, on the grassy area located between The Lion King building and the Finding Nemo building.
Playground
Kids will love climbing and playing at the Righteous Reef playground. It is in the Finding Nemo courtyard.
