The Drury Plaza Hotel in Disney Springs offers guests incredible value with a side of FREE breakfast, topped with no resort fees!

I’m always looking for new lodging options when I visit Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, or any of the other great Orlando attractions, so when the Drury Plaza Hotel came up on my radar I was extremely excited to try it out.

Just under a mile from Disney Springs, the Drury impressed from the moment we walked into the lobby. We had barely stepped inside when we were greeted and our bags whisked away as we checked in.

There is a lot to look forward to during your stay, so let’s start with my most important feature: the rooms. A theme park 2-room king suite was our home away from home for the long weekend, and this Good Neighbor Resort featured a large living room space with a queen-sized pull-out couch, microwave, fridge, and wall-mounted smart tv.

If you’re looking for some space for family time, an in-room meal, or even just a movie at the end of a long day at the parks there is ample room for almost any activity. The bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower (kudos to the designer who put the controls on the far shower wall so you can get your water temp just right before jumping in) and huge sink counter, and a second mirror and sink just outside make it easy for multiple guests to prepare simultaneously.

The bedroom was equally large, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Paired with a view of Disney Springs fireworks at Epcot and Magic Kingdom every night it really was an ideal space to unwind at the end of a long day.

As we made our way to the room, we passed Market Place, a fully stocked mini convenience store right off the lobby. Snacks, drinks, frozen entrees, and other merchandise clothing options you may have forgotten are available alongside a Pizza Hit express location in case your trip to the hot tub or pool isn’t complete without a hot and fresh Supreme.

GYM & LAUNDRY:

Once we left the room, the hotel amenities were more than I could have imagined; it seemed like every time I turned around there was another perk of staying here designed to not only make your time more comfortable but more affordable as well. As a traveler who loves starting the day with a good meal, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful.

From 6 to 10 am, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, fruits and yogurt, and a full cereal and toast bar were all served buffet style alongside pastry and other delicious carb options. Those looking for a mid-afternoon snack can return to The Commons on the 2nd floor for popcorn and soft drinks from 4 to 8 pm, and from 5:30 to 7:30 the buffet returns during the 5:30 kickback.

Each adult receives 3 complimentary alcoholic beverages that can be enjoyed with a hot bar that included a pasta bar with alfredo, chicken, and various vegetable options, hot dogs, nachos, and other fare. If the included dining options don’t line up with your schedule, The Kitchen + Bar or Lakeside Bar & Grill were available from 11 am to 12 am (11 pm Sundays) and offered a full menu of drinks and food choices.

POOL & SPLASH PAD:

The outdoor amenities were well-maintained and spacious. The pool area had ample seating and featured not just a large pool but also a splash pad for younger travelers and a hot tub with space for multiple guests to enjoy. A covered “indoor/outdoor” area off of the pool featured tables and chairs perfect for an outdoor meal in the shade or just a place to cool off and enjoy the breeze out of the direct sun.

*AT NIGHT YOU HAVE A FULL VIEW OF MAGIC KINGDOM AND EPCOT FIREWORKS!

The Drury offers wonderful amenities, the benefits of a Disney Good Neighbor hotel without any resort fees, and is an easy 15-minute walk (or 4-minute Uber) from Disney Springs. The room alone was enough to make me feel like the value of the hotel was fantastic, but once we sampled all of the additional complimentary benefits I was sold. Our room rate was $226/night with no resort fee, free breakfast, 3 drinks a night during happy hour, and so much more.
