The Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe villa resort and Disney vacation club property. Located in the Magic Kingdom area, this resort is close to the parks but takes you away to the national park lodges of the early 20th century.

Resort Overview

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge opened in 2017. There are 184 villas and 26 waterfront cabins, known as Cascade Cabins. The resort is located on the shores of Bay Lake and is designed after the national park lodges and the details are quite amazing. From the woodwork and totem poles to the landscaping with evergreens, the design is meticulous. The villas are each equipped with modern amenities and decor, a full kitchen in those with 1 bedroom or more, and spacious bathrooms.

Reasons We Love This Resort:

Location: The resort is located in the Magic Kingdom area and is a quick boat ride to the main entrance of the park. it is also a short bus ride to any of the other three theme parks. In addition to the great dining options at the resort, there are even more choices nearby, at the parks and the other Magic Kingdom area resorts. Enjoy the nighttime views of the Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake and even a glimpse of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show.

This character dining experience is available for dinner. It is a prix fixe menu and characters include the Evil Queen, Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy.

Whispering Canyon Cafe

At this restaurant, enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets featuring Western-style favorites. Don’t forget to ask for ketchup!

Geyser Point Bar & Grill

This eatery is located poolside and offers beautiful views and delicious menu options. Serving lunch and dinner, guests can please their palate with savory and sweet menu choices while enjoying the beauty of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Roaring Fork

This quick-service location offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mobile ordering is also available.

Territory Lounge

This bar is a cozy and rustic setting to enjoy snacks, small plates, sweets, and cocktails.

Pools, Grounds, & Recreation

The Copper Creek Villas and Cabins share many amenities and recreational options with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. There is plenty of fun to be had at this gorgeous, and relaxing, resort.

Pools

The feature pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the Copper Creek Springs Pool. It features a 67-foot waterslide built into the rocks and a water activity play area for children. There are also hot and cold whirlpool spas. The Geyser Point Bar and Grill is located nearby, serving snacks and drinks and there are plenty of lounge chairs and patio tables to relax and enjoy your day.

The Boulder Ridge Cove pool is more laid-back but still charming, located within the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This location has a whirlpool spa and zero-entry pool with several shaded seating areas.

Complimentary towels are provided at both pools.

Bike Rentals

Bike rentals are available at Teton Boat & Bike Rentals. Explore the resort, enjoying the pine forests and waterways filled with wildlife.

Motorized Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are available in a variety of different sizes. Reservations are not required and rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests must be 18 years of age or older and present a valid driver’s license, state-issued ID, or Miltary ID to rent a boat. Complimentary life jackets are provided, and required, for all guests under 12 years of age.

Fishing

Guided fishing excursions are available all year round from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and are fun for all ages. Guests can choose from a 2-hour or 4-hour excursion with the following included:

There are several jogging trails available for guests to enjoy, taking you through meadows and pine woods. Check with the Lobby Concierge for a map.

Buttons and Bells Arcade

With a variety of games for all ages, there is something for everyone at this arcade. You can race cars, play your favorite sports, have a dance-off, and more. You can go head-to-head with a friend or family member or just try for your own high score.

Game cards must be purchased to play. Game points are added using cash or a credit card and the game cards are rechargeable. In addition, these game cards can be used at other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.

Wilderness Lodge Campfire Activities

As the sun goes down, it’s the perfect time to gather around the campfire! There is plenty of family fun waiting, complete with marshmallows for roasting.

Sturdy Branches Health Club

*Guests who drive either their own vehicle or a rental car to Walt Disney World should know that a standard overnight self-parking fee of $25 per night will be applied to the guest hotel folio upon check-out. Valet parking is available for $33 per night. Complimentary standard self-parking is available while you enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at this resort.

This resort is one of three hotels located in the All-Star complex. It is the third, after All-Star Music and All-Star Sports. This hotel is quite big, with 1,920 rooms. The rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies resort were recently updated and are approximately 260 square feet. Each room has a bathroom with one sink and vanity area, shower with bathtub, dresser with three drawers, a safe, mini-fridge, a Cuisinart “pod-style” coffee maker, and flat-panel TV. In the rooms with two queen beds, one of the beds folds up and there is a table with two chairs.

There are two pools at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.

Fantasia Pool is the main pool, located between the Fantasia building and Cinema Hall. This pool is inspired by the classic Disney movie Fantasia and features a Sorcerer Mickey fountain in the center. There is also a smaller kiddie pool and water play area nearby.

The Duck Pond Pool is the leisure pool inspired by The Mighty Ducks films. This 105,438-gallon pool is designed to resemble a hickey rink and is a great spot to relax when you’re not visiting the parks.

Reel Fun Arcade

Enjoy video games, pinball, air hockey, and more at this arcade located near the Mara Cafe. The arcade is open daily. Purchase your game card using cash or credit card and then refill it as you please to use at any of the other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.

Movies Under the Stars

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a value resort located near the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort, directly across the lake from Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

Resort Overview

Disney’s Art of Animation resort is a great value resort offering accommodations for larger families. The resort opened in 2012 and features both standard rooms and family suites with one of four Disney-Pixar themes: Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Cars, or The Little Mermaid.  This is also one of the dog-friendly options at the Walt Disney World Resort, for an additional fee of $50 per night.

The resort celebrates the magic of Disney animation and brings characters to life with larger-than-life statues throughout the resort, with many backdrops that are perfect for vacation photos. With the addition of the Disney Skyliner, this resort offers convenient access to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Pools, Grounds, & Recreation

The feature pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the Copper Creek Springs Pool. It features a 67-foot waterslide built into the rocks and a water activity play area for children. There are also hot and cold whirlpool spas. The Geyser Point Bar and Grill is located nearby, serving snacks and drinks and there are plenty of lounge chairs and patio tables to relax and enjoy your day.

The Boulder Ridge Cove pool is more laid-back but still charming, located within the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This location has a whirlpool spa and zero-entry pool with several shaded seating areas.

Complimentary towels are provided at both pools.

In addition to the pools, there are many ways to have fun at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Bike Rentals

Bike rentals are available at Teton Boat & Bike Rentals. Explore the resort, enjoying the pine forests and waterways filled with wildlife.

Motorized Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are available in a variety of different sizes. Reservations are not required and rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests must be 18 years of age or older and present a valid driver’s license, state-issued ID, or Miltary ID to rent a boat. Complimentary life jackets are provided, and required, for all guests under 12 years of age.

Fishing

Guided fishing excursions are available all year round from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and are fun for all ages. Guests can choose from a 2-hour or 4-hour excursion with the following included:

  • An Experienced guide
  • Rod and reel
  • Tackle
  • Artificial and/or live bait
  • Non-alcoholic beverages only (alcoholic beverages are not permitted aboard)

With a variety of games for all ages, there is something for everyone at this arcade. You can race cars, play your favorite sports, have a dance-off, and more. You can go head-to-head with a friend or family member or just try for your own high score.

Game cards must be purchased to play. Game points are added using cash or a credit card and the game cards are rechargeable. In addition, these game cards can be used at other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.
