The Disneyland Hotel is one of three on-site hotels at the Disneyland Resort. Opening shortly after Disneyland Park, guests can see the history at every turn from murals showing the evolution of the resort to Walt Disney posing with various guests. Disneyland Hotel

Built by Jack Wrather and opening in 1955, the Disneyland Hotel is known for being the first hotel that offered amenities for the whole family. Like the whole Disneyland Resort, the hotel has evolved over the years. Originally only two stories, the buildings have been reimagined into different themed towers. Each tower represents one of the iconic lands in Disneyland Park. The monorail station was also added. The hotel is filled with Disney history and magic, showing how Walt Disney brought it all to life.

The Coffee House

This coffee shop is located near the convention center. With a variety of coffee and pastries available, it’s the perfect spot to grab a quick bite or drink to start your day.

Goofy’s Kitchen

Join Chef Goofy and his pals for an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, open for breakfast or dinner. While at the desk, be sure to stop and grab a complimentary photo with Chef Goofy! Then, be on the lookout for some favorite Disney friends as they dance and wave hello throughout your meal!

Pools

E-Ticket Pool: This pool takes you back in time to the park’s early days, with décor resembling theme park tickets of the past. It is located on the north side of the courtyard plaza and is a perfect spot for a relaxing swim or to sit poolside.

Monorail Waterslides: There are two waterslides featuring replicas of the original Monorail trains. The Red Monorail slide is approximately 25 feet high and 180 feet long, while the Yellow Monorail slide is more relaxing, at 13 feet high and 80 feet long.

There is also a two-lane mini-slide that is designed for younger children and a water play area, topped with a “Disneyland” sign.

D-Ticket Pool: This pool is the place to be for guests who would like to swim laps. Then, head to the Mickey or Minnie Spa whirlpool for a relaxing experience or sit poolside and just enjoy the sun!

Poolside Cabanas

For guests looking to have a little extra luxury and a shady retreat poolside, a cabana is a perfect option. Poolside cabanas are available for half-day or full-day rentals. Each cabana includes:

  • Disney California Adventure: Enter the Downtown Disney District for a short walk to the theme park entrance.

*Guests who drive either their own vehicle or a rental car to the Disneyland Resort should know that a standard overnight self-parking fee of $35 per night will be applied to the guest hotel folio upon check-out. Pools, Grounds, & Recreation

The Boulder Ridge Villas share many amenities and recreational options with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Pools

The feature pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the Copper Creek Springs Pool. It features a 67-foot waterslide built into the rocks and a water activity play area for children. There are also hot and cold whirlpool spas. The Geyser Point Bar and Grill is located nearby, serving snacks and drinks and there are plenty of lounge chairs and patio tables to relax and enjoy your day.

The Boulder Ridge Cove pool is more laid-back but still charming, located within the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This location has a whirlpool spa and zero-entry pool with several shaded seating areas.

Complimentary towels are provided at both pools.

Bike Rentals

Bike rentals are available at Teton Boat & Bike Rentals. Explore the resort, enjoying the pine forests and waterways filled with wildlife.

Motorized Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are available in a variety of different sizes. Reservations are not required, and rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests must be 18 years of age or older and present a valid driver’s license, state-issued ID, or Military ID to rent a boat. Complimentary life jackets are provided, and required, for all guests under 12 years of age.

Fishing

Guided fishing excursions are available all year round from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and are fun for all ages. Guests can choose from a 2-hour or 4-hour excursion with the following included:

Enchanted Rose

This lounge is newly re-imagined and inspired by Beauty and the Beast, with details throughout to remind you of the beloved fairytale. There is also an outdoor patio available.

Beaches Pool Bar & Grill

Courtyard Pool Bar

Beach Pool

This 111,261-gallon pool overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon. It features a 181-foot-long waterslide and a calming natural springs theme. There is also an aquatic play area for little ones.

For added luxury, consider renting a poolside cabana. These cabanas are available for full-day rentals and include amenities such as padded lounge chairs, a smart TV with cable service, and more.

Courtyard Pool

This leisure pool is located behind the main building and offers a calm place to swim. The zero-entry pool is heated and features a whirlpool spa.

This signature dining experience is located on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. With a menu inspired by Californian cooking and breathtaking views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom, this restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy an incredible meal. Currently, there is a special menu, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. Please note there is a dress code required for this signature dining experience.

California Grill Lounge

Enjoy a drink before or after your meal. You may also choose to dine in the lounge, space permitting.

Chef Mickey’s

Join Mickey and his friends for this all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast or dinner, located on the 4th floor of the Contemporary Tower. Watch as the monorail flies by overhead and wave to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto as they dance through the restaurant.

Contempo Cafe

This quick-service restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a great view of the monorail and a variety of menu options.

Steakhouse 71

This family-friendly steakhouse is the newest addition to the resort hotel, named for the year Disney’s Contemporary Resort opened. With a design inspired by the 1970s and the state of Florida, this restaurant features a menu inspired by some of Walt Disney’s favorite dishes. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Reservations are highly recommended.

Cove Bar

This private pool bar is reserved for guests staying at Bay Lake Tower or Disney Vacation Club Members.

Grab a bite to eat while sitting poolside with your choice of a variety of snacks and quick-service options. A full bar menu, as well as cocktails, beer, and sangria are also available.

Pools

The feature pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is the Bay Cove Pool. This pool includes zero-depth entry and overlooks Bay Lake. There is also a 148-foot-long waterslide. The kids will love the water play area with geysers squirting up in the air! This pool area is reserved specifically for guests staying at Bay Lake Tower and Disney Vacation Club members.

There are two more pools at Disney’s Contemporary Resort that are available to guests staying at Bay Lake Tower. The Main Pool has views of the marina and features a 17-foot high, 131-foot-long waterslide. There is a water play area and two whirlpool spas to relax in.

Guests are also encouraged to unwind and relax at the Bay Lake Pool. This leisure pool is round and shallow on the outside but deeper in the center.

Complimentary towels are provided at both pools.

Cabana Rentals

Enjoy a little added luxury as you relax in your own private cabana, located next to Bay Cove Pool. Each cabana rental includes:

Class space is limited to 15 guests staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Bay Lake Tower. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pools

The feature pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort is the Sandcastle Pool. Located near the Hospitality House, this pool takes you away to the Florida Keys. It features a 125-foot-long waterslide through a giant sandcastle and a kiddie pool for little ones. There is also a whirlpool spa to sit and relax after a day at the parks.

There are three other leisure pools throughout the resort located in the Old Turtle Pond, South Point, and Miller’s Road areas of the resort. There are whirlpool spas at each of these as well.

Movies Under the Stars

While staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, you may be wondering how you can get to each park using the free transportation systems offered at Walt Disney World. We have it broken down for you:

  • Magic Kingdom: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to the Magic Kingdom. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes. In the event of inclement weather, buses will be provided.
  • EPCOT: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to EPCOT. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.

*Guests who drive either their own vehicle or a rental car to Walt Disney World should know that a standard overnight self-parking fee of $25 per night will be applied to the guest hotel folio upon check-out. Valet parking is available for $33 per night. Complimentary standard self-parking is available while you enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at this resort.
